so lately i have been thinking a lot about choices. We make choices every day. What is the motives behind our choices? Personally i can be a bit spastic, meaning that when i think of something and it sounds good i go with it. Other people i know think of something and ponder it for a long time. Neither one is better than the other, just different. What i start to wonder is how often do i make a choice based on how easy it is not how right it is. This tiny span of time ( in terms of eternity) called mortality is all about the "now" . Everyone wants the quick and easy fix to life. Everyone wants to see " the fruit of their labors" right away. I am sometimes very guilty of that. Sometime i ask my heavenly father for patience right now haha. Most things in this life are quick and satisfy the now but where is the satisfaction in that? working hard for something and making a consistent daily effort to improve or get to the ultimate goal is hard but it gives you the greatest feeling of satisfaction and you know that you earned your reward. Thats what this life is about working towards your goal, making mistakes, finding new ways to approach situations, and realizing at the end of each day you aren't perfect. AND THATS HOW IT SHOULD BE!! we need our savior and his atonement. we will never be perfect in this life and we shouldn't ever pretend that we are. Its a wonderful thing to have imperfections and realize that you have things you need to work on. I love the feeling of knowing i accomplished the goal set before me no matter how long it took. challenge: love yourself this week for being imperfect and don't try to use quick and easy methods to get stuff done.
Another thing i have been thinking about is just how wonderful my extended family is. This weekend i took a trip up to Idaho to see some of them. I have been blessed with the best family anyone could ask for. My aunt michelle, she let my family and me stay in her home and then in the morning she had all this food out for us to eat. she spoiled us even more by sending us home with food. :) ( this poor college girl took all the food she could get :) ) ANd then my grandparents and uncle and other aunt, uncle and cousins were just so welcoming and fun to be around. As i look at both sides of the family, i am surround by wonderful people. I am so blessed to get to spend eternity with them :)
