so this past saturday, my amazingly talented sister ran in the utah state track meet down at BYU. So i went and got the honor of watching her. well we got there around 11:30 and she didn't' end up running till 4:00pm.... yeah thats a long time. meanwhile i was watching all the other events take place . Well it was hot and sunny. Back ground on my skin, it burns easily. So my dad is always saying" Grab an umbrella for shayli". Yeah its a funny sight to see most of the time. Because here is everyone enjoying the outdoors and here comes shayli with her umbrella Its been something that we all laugh at no matter how true it maybe. well this time, i didn't bring an umbrella. i thought its one time, i will be fine. i won't' even be in the sun that long. well lets just say i was wrong. one time does hurt... it hurts a lot. i got a pretty bad sunburn on my right arm. It is actually blistering and some of the blisters are white.. not sure what that means.
so my message today is... don't do something that could hurt you once because even though you think the chances are slim, it can and probably will hurt you. There is enough unexpected surprises in life that will be challenging, lets not give ourselves more.
