Celebrate your progress

so today my ward taught me a lot about celebrating our steps of progress. Each day we have choices and decisions set before us. it is so easy to focus on all we did wrong that day, or the things that we still need to work on. Now don't get me wrong, we do need to continually strive to improve, but we also need to take time to realize just how much we have improved and what steps we have taken each day to improve. Just think about it, what was something today you did to improve? don't think about if it was a completely success or not because when we have that desire to change within us, that right there is the first step and a success. For me, today it was getting over singing in front of someone. I sang in front of my roommate and we are doing a musical number in two weeks in church. (That will be my next hurdle) It was a small step but something that i feel really good about.  so my challenge: write down something you have done improved on, or a step of progress you have made. :)  i would love to hear about it if you want to tell me, but if not thats fine too.

other things i learned today that i really want to share with you!
- to find christ we must do that things he would do.
- we are the only ones stopping our progression
- through the atonement ... it makes bad men good and good men better!
- if you don't do something hard you will never know if you have that strength
- we need trials to help us grow. without trials we would not progress.
- if we live up to our privilege then the angels cannot be restrained from being our associates.
- no one is ever focusing on how weird or strange you may be because they are all focusing on how strange they may seem.
      * this is so true. everyone is focused on how others perceive them that no one is paying attention to how they perceive you. :)
- who would i be without any fear?
- and of course: Heavenly Father loves me, knows me and answers my prayers.

just a quick update on my life:
i am working two jobs and loving it. the people i work with are just terrific. The lord blesses me each day with the opportunity to be surround by uplifting fun loving people. I have wonderful roommates who i learn from and get to know each day. My i got to see my family this past week and loved it as well. Heavenly Father is in charge of my life and i am will forever grateful for that choice to trust him with my life.
