wise words

" Some of the most beautiful pieces of art today are stained glass windows. you know what they are made of? Broken pieces of glass! you just have to let Heavenly Father heal you, let him and those who care about you pick up the pieces and allow him to make you into the beautiful person that deep down you know you are! ... You are special and loved. NO ONE can take that away from you." - Channing Major
This quote come from a great friend of mine. It really hit me and helped me realize that so often we are given trials that help up grow and become all that our father in heaven wants us to be. We have so much potential. But also with this we will have times where we fail or get hurt or even don't feel strong enough, but those are moments that have shaped us and helped us to become even more beautiful. Talking to my friend made me realize that it is our trials and getting through them and also our failures that make us even more like our Father in Heaven. Without those moments, we would not see all the good we have to offer this world.  It is also so true that individually these pieces in a stained glass window look like nothing  special but put them all together with the light shining through them and you have  a beautiful masterpiece. It is is the same in our lives, it is once the light of our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus christ's love and truth is our masterpiece completed.

After i heard this it made me think about the Movie Cars 2 and a quote given by the wonderful tow truck Mater. He was given the opportunity to get rid of all his scars and dents, but he said he didn't want to because he said " these dents represent memories and great experiences". How true is that? I am who I am because of the experiences i have had. The Good ,the bad, the happy, the sad. The hard ones made me stronger and the happy ones made me even more grateful for my life. I am so grateful that i have so many people in my life that help me remember such great things.

An apostle of the lord once said that it is like looking at a painting. When we look closely at the individual strokes they are intricate and took lots of time and talent, but it is not until we take a step back and look at the whole picture do we really capture the beauty.

I am so excited to look at my life in that way!
