THe merciful Obtain mercy

so there has been a talk that has come across my path a lot the past couple of week. It is called " The Merciful Obtain  Mercy" by Pres. Uchtdorf. click here to read it. I encourage you all to do so. But anyway it is such a power talk and just helps me realize that i am not perfect, but i am trying to do my best every day. The past couple of weeks have been good, i have started school and in the process of juggling or should i say attempting to balance everything that needs to be done, i have learned a lot about myself. The lord has placed so many terrific people in my life to lighted and brighten my day. Just the other day i get home from a very long day and find a package sitting for me, i know i didn't order anything so i was slightly puzzled. it turns out one of my great friends knew that my guitar strings were broken and he had bought me new ones. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was to me. It took maybe a total of 5 minutes to send that and yet it meant so much more to me than 5 minutes. I have people all around me who continually show me that it is the small things that can often have the biggest impact on our lives. Seriously think about it... most of the time what means more to you. Some big extravagant gift or a homemade card with some inside jokes on it? For me its the card all the way. I am just so blessed to have such amazing family members, friends, co workers, roommates, and people that i hope to one day call my friends.
Today was my grandparents mission farewell. As i sat there it hit me that i would miss them so very much for the next year. They have been such a tremendous blessing and help to have 20 minutes away while i am at college. there have been times where i have gotten so sick and they just came and picked me up and then let me get better at there house. They made me all sorts of things to help me get better. Then once a month since i came to college we have always gone out to lunch or dinner. What am i going to do for the next year? I hope to pass on some of the wonderful things they did for me to other people around me as they go and bless the lives of so many more people. I look up to them so very much. As well as so many other of my family members. I know that no matter what i will always have people who love and care about me and who want the very best for me no matter what it means for them. How blessed am i??!? Words can not describe how much the people i know have shaped me and helped me grow. Thank you.

challenge: think about the people in your life who have helped you. Tell them thank you and do something for them. remember doesn't have to be big, just meaningful. :)
