Today being Easter i would be such unprofitable servant of my loving heavenly father if i did not share the feelings of my heart and those things i feel today. Today at church the spirit was so very strong. Each meeting i gained new insights of my love of my savior and his love for me.
One of the insights i gained comes from Luke 22: 32-33. The savior knows that the time will come when he will be taken to die upon the cross yet in these moments he says " Simon, simon behold, Satan Hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but i have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."Even though the savior knows the pain he is going to experience he is still praying for Simon and his needs. How incredible is that!!?!? I know for me, when i am going through tough times i often pray for my needs. But from this i learn that when the savior was going through his darkest time, he still prayed and thought of others.
Sunday will come. This is something else i learned. No matter how dark our "friday" is "sunday" will always come. I really encourage you to read the talk Sunday will come by clicking on the link. This so very true. It does not matter what we struggle with at this point because it will ALWAYS get better. It may take time but the light and hope does come. So if anyone maybe struggling to you i say, hold on to your faith because it will get you through it. Our savior knows our pains and he is the only one who can heal us.
3 gardens. Okay so i could go on and on but i will just post some thoughts i had. To get your own feeling about the truly amazing power of the atonement and the wonderful feelings of this day read the link attached to 3 gardens. here are other thoughts i had. :
- He will heal those who trust him
- My savior is my truest and best friend. No matter what i've done or the pain i have felt he has never left me. he never will.
- He carried his own cross so that i don't have to carry mine by myself.
- What do i betray him to? .THis one needs explanation. Christ was betrayed out of greed for money. Yet each of us has something in our lives that we put before our savior. what is that thing? we should find it and put christ before all things.
- I have nothing to fear, christ has overcome the world. He can help me overcome my own weaknesses.
- He lifts me up, heals me and says it will be okay.
- we need to put our lives in his hands completely!
-CHRIST LIVES!!!
I want you all to know that my savior lives. he died for me and for you. No matter what we have done we can always come back to him. He is standing before us at all times with his hand still stretched out. What a wonderful gift he has given to us. The ability to change and become more like him. i know all these things to be true. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
