so toady i had a wonderful experience. So this morning for 2 1/2 hours i got to work on a 5 acre peach vineyard. Okay so that may not sound that wonderful but what i learned is what made it so amazing. I learned why we need to prune. The man in charge of the acres told us that it was so important to prune these peaches. He said that the reason why is because none of the peaches would be able to reach their full potential on their own. All these peaches were so clumped together that there would not be any room to grow. It was such an interesting experience to go through each tree on this plot of land and have to take off over half of the peaches. There was a certain way we had to prune them as well. We had to twist them off because if we pulled them then it would hurt the branch and hurt the peach that was still there to grow.
okay so why do i share all this fascinating information? well because i recently read in the scriptures about the pruning of the vineyard. The Lord prunes his vineyards and sometimes we don't understand why different circumstances arise that seem to be hurting us, but it really is that he is preparing us so we can reach our fullest potential. It just brought a whole new light to my scripture study and my view on life all together.
