" The mother as a mother, not as a bread winner, is an essential figure in this battle against immorality and wickedness... This battle ultimately will be won on such simple grounds as the children coming in after school to homemade bread and jam and momma there... Daddy and momma saying " we need you in this family. you are a part of us, no matter what your troubles are , you can come home." " - Elder Boyd K. Packer
This quote is my parents. My parents are the best parents anyone could ever hope to ask for. I knew i had great parents while living at home, but i didn't fully realize just how amazing they truly are until i moved out. Yes i still like to do my own things and be a "grown up" , but at the end of every day i know i can call home and talk to my parents. I can tell them of all the joys and sorrows, the progress and mistakes, and just the funny little things of each day. i know that no matter what i am always welcomed home. I could not ask for better parents. if you are someone living at home, really take time to recognize just how much your parents love you, and also learn and love them. we can all learn from each other. if you are a parent reading this, your kids do love you and will realize all the things you do. Just keep letting them know you are there for them.
This is also like our father in heaven. He knows we are going to make mistakes. He wants to hear of our sorrows and our joys and just the little things of each day. He will always be there to welcome us home. what greater joy can we have than to know that no matter what, at the end of each day we can fall asleep with the reassurance that we have a "home" to go to and have parents who love us oh so very much. i know this to be true. I have been blessed with earthly examples of it and every day become more grateful for them.
