So that brings my to my next part... i thought because of the tender feelings i received from that movie i would list 17 blessings (aka miracles) in my life. * i will use miracles interchangeably with blessing.*
1. I was born into the true church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints.
2. I have an eternal, loving, forgiving, wonderful, amazing family who has stood by me through everything.
3. I have been given so many opportunities to meet new people. I have lived in multiple areas and gotten to learn and grow from people in each area.
4. The atonement of Jesus christ. Because of him, i can repent and try each day to become more like my father in heaven.
5. A heart that feels compassion and wants to do good. I am so blessed to have the heart that i do, i know that satan has tried to use it against me and at times may have won, but the lord knows our hearts and what we are striving to do and thats where number 4 comes back into play.
6. My friends. I have the best friends is the entire world. You can totally disagree with me, but i am right on this one.I have been blessed with friends who lift me to higher ground. The constantly show me that we are not alone on this earth for a reason.
7. my trials, and short comings. You may think i am crazy, but without these i would not be the person i am today. I am able to show myself just how strong i am. I am able to do so much with my heavenly father's help, then i would ever be able to do alone. I am grateful for the "low" times in my life, because in all reality they are not low points they are just times where i was lifted up the most.
8.Forms of communication. It is such a blessing to have ways to communicate. Not only through speech, but also through internet, cell phones, etc.. I have been able to learn much and reconnect with people. I can share my testimony with the world in ways that were not possible before.
9. The parents i have. I know i said family earlier, but i think 9 and 10 are more precise. My parents are such wonderful, amazing, patient people who love the lord and are always blessing not only my life,but anyone who is around them. I am so blessed for the love and support they provide me. I know it was a huge blessing and miracle that my heavenly father let me be their daughter.
10. My siblings. I am not perfect but my siblings never make me feel bad for my imperfections. They are so loving, and help me become better. They continually show me what is really important in life.
11. The missionaries, and their families. I was raised in the church, but missionaries brought my great grandparents into the church. It is such a miracle that so many young men and woman take time out of their lives to serve the lord on their own dime. Also the families that support them are just wonderful. i have had many friends leave on missions and they are changing lives.
12. Those who fight for this country. I am forever blessed because these men and woman sacrifice their lives so that i can be free. Because they do this i am able to believe what i want to believe, decide what i want to be when i grow up, live my life the way that i choose to. They are people i wish i could thank every day of my life.
13. My health,body and home. It is a miracle that i have lived such a healthy life. We all have times when we have been sick but i know that the lord has carried me so many times in my life. I get sick, but i have always gotten better. The body is such a miraculous thing. It heals itself because that is the way it was created. Also my home, i have been blessed multiple times with a house that keeps me safe and warm.
14. Those who have taught me much. I wish i would list them all, but i am grateful that i have had the opportunity to learn so much in the life i have lived so far. I have been blessed with learning knowledge of educational aspects, emotional aspects, character wise, spiritually. I am always given an opportunity to learn and that is a wonderful thing.
15. Memories. It is such a wonderful thing to see a picture, or see something that brings back a memory. we have so many wonderful events that take place in our lives. It is so easy to only see the bad, but its a blessing to see the good as well. Those events that took place that brought us joy is the lord constantly reminding us of his love and that he is always there for us.
16. The scriptures. The word of God has brought me peace so many times. They have all the answers. The Book of Mormon is the true word of God and so is the Bible as far as it is translated correctly. SO many people have sacrificed so much, even their lives, so that we would have these books. I know i take them for granted so often, but they are to be truly cherished.
17. That i live. Everyday that i get to live, is such a blessing. It means another day to try again, another day to do better, another day to learn, love, feel hurt, repent, forgive, be happy, serve, and just enjoy this wonderful adventure called life that we are all on. I know that each day is a gift to us and we should wake up each day knowing that it is a new day filled with so many new adventures.
